Frequently Asked Questions
  • To use OAR, do I need to turn off pop-up blockers?

OAR uses pop-up windows for some functions. While you are using OAR, we recommend that you turn off any pop-up blockers for the OAR site onlynot for all sites.

  • What are pop-ups? What is a pop-up blocker?

Pop-ups are screens that come up automatically when you are surfing the internet. You may go to one web page and an ad opens up on another page. Pop-ups are often the product of spyware. However, when you click on a link to intentionally open a web page in a new window, you are requesting a wanted popup.

Pop-up blockers block pop-up windows. Most people don't know that they have one or more popup-blockers on their computer because these programs are often anonymously included with other programs and even Windows updates.

The problem with most popup-blockers is that they interfere with wanted pop-ups as well as unwanted pop-ups.

  • How do I turn off pop-up blockers?

First you have to find them. Pop-up blockers can be included with AOL, Earthlink, Yahoo, Google, Windows Explorer, McAfee, Symantec, and many other products. We regret that we cannot include instructions for all of these products.

Example: You can turn off the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker as shown below.

Note: We advise you to turn off pop-up blockers while using the OAR site only.

Application data is not saved if you click on a button related solely to the browser.

  • When I’m entering an application, why doesn’t OAR let me move back and forth between tabs?

OAR validates the data associated with each tab. All of the edits for a given tab must be complete and valid before OAR will let you move to another tab.

When you make a payment via OAR, you are accessing the US Bank system. US Bank uses the zip code to authenticate you as a customer.
